lets not forget that if you get stressed about losing weight your body tends to retain water throwing what the scale says off. the weight gain from muscle wouldnt be that significant even though muscle does weigh more than fat. get a heart rate monitor with calorie counter that you can use, weight loss is science. i calculate the calories I lose through my workouts & make a weekly goal for myself-its not a guessing game anymore.

it takes a little time to get your metabolism back to where it should be. eating disorders can really demolish your metabolism. make sure youre eating every 4 hours & the last poster said carbs are no good but carbs are good if youre eating them at the right time & if theyre COMPLEX carbs. carbs give you energy, and complex carbs give the right energy for your workouts. Believe me, i gained 24 pounds through a hormonal inbalance & Ive implented balanced eating and good workouts & ive lost 9 pounds in the pa

intervals are GREAT. Love them! I found it easier if I calculate the amount of calories I burn during my workouts & add them up at the end of the week to figure out how much I'll be losing. Realized that the science of losing weight is similar for everyone & so far so good! Getting a heart rate monitor with a calorie counter is a great option. Dont forget to not cut too many calories, if you do you may plateau early & lose out on vital energy that food gives you-making your work outs harder! good luck!

If you are feeling these symptoms it might be due to the fact that your body might be telling you that you are starting off a little to fast, or not doing what's best initially to help you overcome your injuries. Pilates can be a great workout for you but you want to make sure that whoever you are working with is educated in working with injuries, and that they know how to assess and proceed with your injuries. I have hired trainers for years and just because someone is certified doesn't necessarily mean

Sounds like you've twisted or pulled a muscle...

Does it hurt more to push on it, or to move it? It almost sounds like you've separated a muscle at the insertion point, but that usually comes with immobility as well as pain...

It may be nothing more exciting than an overuse injury, that will get better with rest and maybe some more variety in your workouts --something that doesn't involve that arm motion.

To avoid a re-run, you may like to alternate strength training days, so that you'r

Yes, you're definitely starting well... If I were to recommend anything, it would be to extend your cooldown. One of the fun pieces of research I ran into was that people who cool down for 10 minutes enjoy their workouts more and are more likely to work out again soon, compared to people who cool down for shorter periods.Cool down can be stretching or just slower work at the same thing... but having tried it out, man, it's a good idea!Think building muscle and conditioning y

We have opted not to add an meal scheduling tool at this time for a few reasons...

      1. The old SYB meal plan was not intuitive and didn't listen to what a user said he or she ate. It just blindly prescribed foods based only on calorie and macronutrient goals. As a result, an overwhelming majority of users never followed the plan and added their own food instead.

      2. We opted for an approach that made overall logging eaiser and went with a food database that is more consumer-friendly. It

Yes, dance can totally slim and firm and make you fit. You need to sweat, though... and work harder and harder all the time. The joy is that there are a million forms of dance and once you learn one you can learn them all... lots of range and lots of options.

      Yes...

Depends on what you want to accomplish. If you want to work up to running pretty soon, that's a fine approach. If you want to make your workouts harder, faster, the intervals are actually a bit long. 15-30 seconds of really intense work (like going from walking to sprinting, just between two telephone poles, or for half a block) will increase your cardio endurance much faster than 10minutes at 1.5x the speed.

Alternate days with strength training and stretching (stretch on the strength
